HRIS integrations
How it works
We partner with Merge, a leading API platform, to offer integrations with all of the most popular HRIS systems so you can easily sync employee data. Merge collects the data, brings it to their server, and then gives us access so we can bring that data into Quinto. With an integration in place, you can automate the process of adding users, positions, reporting relationships, locations, and departments.
Setting up an integration
Click the gear icon on the top right of your screen.
Select General administration in the drop-down.
Click Integrations under Content in the side menu.
Select your HRIS.
Expand the categories to see the data Merge will access. Click Continue.
Provide the information requested so Merge can connect to your system. This might be a subdomain and API key, but will vary depending on your HRIS. Merge provides instructions explaining where to find the required information in your HRIS. Once you’ve filled in the required fields, click Submit.
Click Continue. Review the data Merge has access to and click Continue. Click Finish.
Select how often you want to re-sync in the Import frequency setting.
Select which type of group in your HRIS you want to map to departments in Quinto.
Select the status of new users imported through the integration.
Select the language of your HRIS content if you have more than one language installed.
Select specific user groups if you don’t want to import all users from your HRIS.
Click Synchronize now on the top right of the page. You’ll only need to do this once for setup. Going forward, Quinto will resync with your HRIS automatically according to the import frequency.
If you import someone and later deactivate them in your HRIS, they will be deactivated in Quinto on the next sync. However, while Merge collects the data of all users in your HRIS, Quinto does not import users who are deactivated in your HRIS.
What data do we access?
The data collected depends on the system. Merge only collects the information that is listed in step 5 when you set up your integration. The data Merge collects is read-only. That means Merge will never change your data. Merge will not collect social security numbers or any information about employee pay. If Merge doesn’t collect a piece of data, we can’t access it. However, it’s important to note that while you can specify which groups of users you want to add to Quinto, Merge collects the data of all users in your HRIS.
