How reviews work

What are reviews?

A Quinto review is a collection of employee assessments. The review organizes assessments and allows you to configure their settings and timelines. Creating a review involves three key decisions:

  1. Who is being evaluated, and who is evaluating them?

    • Select the employees to evaluate.

    • Choose whether employees will evaluate themselves, be evaluated by their managers, or if both will participate in the evaluation.

  2. What are they being evaluated on?

    • Choose whether to evaluate employees based on their current job or a specific job.

    • Decide if the evaluation will focus on required competencies, skills, or both.

    • Choose whether to conduct a detailed (in-depth) or an overview (snapshot) evaluation.

  3. When will they complete the evaluation, and when will results be shared?

    • Schedule launch dates and deadlines for employees.

    • Schedule launch dates and deadlines for managers.

    • Specify how and when results will be shared with employees.

How are reviews managed?

Using the information provided during the setup of the review, Quinto generates assessments for each selected employee. These assessments are organized into three tables:

  • Assessments table: The number of assessments in a review corresponds to the number of employees being evaluated. One assessment is created for each employee, which we refer to as the subject. This table allows you to view all assessments within a review.

  • Participants table: The number of participants in each assessment depends on the viewpoint. For example, if you include both self and manager viewpoints (180°), each assessment will have two participants: one for the subject and one for their manager. This table allows you to manage participants individually.

  • Results table: This table displays assessment results in three separate charts described below. These charts provide valuable insights for both individual and group-level performance.

For example: A review is set up for three employees where both the employee and manager viewpoints will be included. This review includes:

  • 3 Assessments: One for each employee.

  • 6 Participants: Three employees (subjects) and their three managers. Even if the same manager oversees all three employees, there would still be three entries to reflect their participation in separate assessments.

By organizing data into these tables, Quinto provides a clear and structured approach to managing and analyzing the review process.

How are review results provided?

Quinto provides both aggregate and individual results. Individual results are available for each employee, offering detailed information about their assessment. These results can be shared automatically with employees once the assessment is complete, or they can be manually shared by either the manager or administrator. Aggregate results, which are only visible to administrators, are presented in three charts:

  1. Performance scores: A summary score for each subject based on the job requirements, allowing you to compare employee performance (only available for snapshot).

  2. Level distribution: A breakdown of ratings by competency and skill, highlighting organizational strengths and weaknesses.

  3. Manager scoring: An overview of how managers rate their employees, identifying scoring patterns and any discrepancies.
