How do I change a user's license?

Licenses are assigned automatically based on permissions. Your default permission set will be assigned to new users, which is typically a regular permission set. Users who only have a regular permission set will only be assigned a platform license. If you assign a user to an admin permission set, they might also be granted an additional license depending on the permissions enabled in that set. To remove a license, remove any admin permission sets assigned to that user or turn off the permissions granting the license.
