What happens to signoffs when I republish a job?

Substantial vs minor changes

When a job is republished, you have two options for how to handle completed signoffs:

  • For substantial changes, you can request signoff again.

  • For more minor changes like fixing a typo, you can grant signoff instead. The user won’t receive a new request. Granting signoff reverts the status back to Current.

The option to grant signoff is only available for employees who signed off on the previous version. We cancel pending requests when a job is republished, so for those employees you’ll need to request signoff again.

Granting signoff

When you’re deciding between requesting or granting signoff, you might find it useful to compare the different versions of a job. Quinto offers a side-by-side view that makes this easy. Follow the steps below to compare versions and grant or request signoff.

  1. Click Jobs in the top nav.

  2. Click Jobs on the top left of the page.

  3. Select Signoffs in the dropdown.

  4. Filter by Updated (associated signoffs are tagged as Updated when a job is republished).

  5. Point to a user and click the 3-dot icon.

  6. Select Compare job versions in the drop-down.

  7. Click Differences to highlight differences, matches, or nothing.

  8. Click Actions and decide whether to either grant or request signoff.
