Capabilities analytics

Capabilities Analytics helps you identify common strengths and capability gaps across your workforce. It compares employees' capabilities with the requirements of their current jobs, helping you understand where your workforce is meeting current needs and where development may be required.

Understand strengths and gaps

A strength indicates that an employee meets or exceeds the requirement for a capability on their current job. A gap indicates that the employee does not currently meet the required level for that capability. Because strengths and gaps are based on current-job requirements, the same capability can be a strength for one employee and a gap for another.

Skills and competencies are tracked separately. The summary statistics count strengths and gaps across employees. If the same skill or competency is a strength or gap for multiple employees, each employee is counted separately.

The strengths and gaps chart shows how the number of strengths and gaps changes over time.

Use the available time filter to change the period displayed.

Looking at these trends alongside your current top strengths and gaps can help you determine whether workforce capability coverage is improving or whether particular gaps are becoming more common.
